In April 2002 A&A Manufacturing Co. Inc. purchased Milwaukee Protective Covers Inc. A&A and MPC manufacture protective covers for moving parts on many different types of machinery. A&A sells its products under the Gortite trade name. MPC markets its bellows products under the Thermic-Weld trade name. Jim O'Rourke, President of A&A said, "By combining our personnel, technology and sales volume, we will expand our product offering and enhance our problem solving abilities. This will be a benefit for anyone doing business with A&A or MPC. With this acquisition A & A Manufacturing Co., Inc. will improve upon our product line by now offering Thermic-Weld® Covers, ATD Actuator® Machine Door Openers and Safety Curtains for Welding Cells.”
